How to Join

The aims of the Reno Photo Club are the enjoyment, mastery and furtherance of photography through cooperation, effort, and good fellowship. Any person in Northwestern Nevada, interested in photography may apply for membership. Our Constitution and By-Laws are on the Publications Page along with the Competition Rules and our monthly Slide Glances newsletter.Meetings are held twice a month except for Summer and Christmas breaks.

We welcome you to come to the meetings at no charge and see if membership is right for you!

The club holds monthly competitions among its members in both Prints and Digital Projected Images. While we use the term competitions, most members participate in the spirit of learning by having an external judge offer suggestions on how to improve their photographs. While there are few members who are driven to win, the vast majority are driven to learn.

The Print Categories are Monochrome and Color, and the Projected Image Categories are Color and Nature. There are three divisions, B for Beginning Photographers, A for Advanced Photographers, and AA for Expert photographers. Past winning images are posted on the Competition Results & Best Monthly Images Page.

The club also participates in inter-club competitions sponsored by the Photographic Society of America.

Other Activities
In addition to the Programs at the meetings, there are also periodic Field Trips to photogenic sites in the area as well as seasonal Scavenger Hunts.

The best way to join the club is to come to a meeting! A membership application can be downloaded and printed by clicking on the image to the right.

The annual dues are $35 per individual and $55 for a couple. If joining after July, you pay only half the amount.
