Club Constitution


Name Article I

This organization shall be known as the Reno Photo Club.

Aims Article II

The aims of the Reno Photo Club shall be the enjoyment, mastery and furtherance of photography through cooperation, effort, and good fellowship.

Meetings Article III

Regular meetings of the club shall have place, date and time suggested by the Executive Board with approval of majority membership.

Extra  meetings  may  be  held  on  off  meeting  nights  for  the  purpose  of  conducting  workshops and instructive type programs for  the benefit of all members  and especially for  newer members  in the club.

Membership Article IV

Any person interested in photography may apply for membership.

Officers Article V

The following officers shall be elected by the membership: (1) President; (2) Vice-President; (3) Secretary-Treasurer.

Committees Article VI

The  following  committees  shall  be  established,  as  needed,  to  conduct  club  activities  as provided in Article IV of the By-Laws: (1) Print Competition; (2) Color Slide Competition; (3) Nature Slide Competition; (4) PSA Club Representative & Competition; (5) Editor; (6) Delta Camera Club Council Representative; (7) Club Photographer & Historian; (8) Refreshments; (9) Publicity; (10) Workshops; (11) Honors; (12) Equipment; (13) Facilities; (14) Hospitality; (15) Banquet; (16) Picnic; (17) Field Trips; (18) Special Events; (19) Electronic Imaging; (20) Webmaster.

Chairmen  of  committees  shall  be  appointed  by  the  President  with  the  approval  of  the  Executive Board.

Special committees may be appointed by the President as required and discharged by him when they have completed their assignments.

Executive Board Article VII

The  management  of  the  club  shall  be  directed  by  the  Executive  Board  composed  of  the elected  officers  (Article  V),  the  chairmen  of  the  standing  committees,  and  the  Past  President  ex-officio. The Executive Board shall meet as often as necessary to transact the business of the club.

Five members of the board will constitute a quorum.

Amendments Article VIII

Amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws may be proposed by any member to the Executive Board and, if approved, may be incorporated into this constitution and by-laws if approved by a two-thirds majority at a membership meeting.
